Introduction to the Negeso Translate Website

Creating and maintaining a multilingual website is a labor intensive process. Negeso has developed a set of tools that will help take as much load off of you as possible. First of all, you will be able to create your own languages and regions on your website. However, you will also be able to translate your website (or parts) to any other language using our unique Website Translation Module. This will automatically translate everything with a click of a button. The formatting will be preserved once translations are complete. The automatic translation will be very accurate, however it will require editing. You can either do the editing yourself, or we can do it for you. We have native authors who can proofread and edit your translations for you. If you add new pages to your website in the future, these can also be translated separately. You can write notes in any of the language environment, this is useful to establish who is editing the language environment or to create to-do lists.

As an administrator you will be able to specify how your multi-language website will be presented to your visitors and in which language. There are several options to help you with this: The standard language that your visitors will see when they visit your website will be based on their: IP geographical region, browser language, or standard computer language. You can make your choice in the Site Settings. Depending on your edition, Negeso will build either a language selector or a Region/Language Selector on your website. Visitors will then be able to choose a the language or region that they prefer. If you switch the Geographic Region IP on, you will also be given the option to enforce this. This can be useful if you have different pricing strategies for different regions.

Multiple languages in one website

All of our Negeso Website/CMS 3.0 editions offer multiple languages in one website, including our Standard Edition. You can have as many languages in one website as you wish. All of the components in our CMS are multilingual: menus, pages, news lists and news articles, products, etc. You can also use the CMS itself to create and delete languages. Negeso CMS uses Google language codes.

Develop your own Regions

In our Multi-National Enterprise Edition you will be able to use the Multi-Region module to develop yourself Regions. These regions will be defined by yourself and can encompass multiple countries. This allows you to target any specific region with different product lines and prices.

Link multiple domain names to a single website

You will be able to link multiple domain names to a single website in all of our CMS editions. By using aliases and redirection commands you will be able to redirect a domain homepage to a specific page of a website.

Link language to a specific domain

You will be able to associate a language with a specific domain. For example our main website is http://www.negeso.com//, and each different country we have separate domains: http://www.negeso-cms.de/ or http://www.negeso.nl/. You will also be able to choose whether you would like to see the language selector or not. Or whether you want it to redirect to your homepage, or if you don't want it to redirect at all.

Language and Region Selector

The Language Selector which comes as a standard feature with our Multiple-Language Edition allows your visitors to select their preferred language. The Region Selector, which comes as a standard feature with our Multi-National Enterprise Edition, your visitors will be able to select which region they prefer.

Home page for each language / region

You will be able to set a homepage for each and every language and region in the Site Settings. This allows you to set a different homepage for each language, if you wanted.

Default meta tags for each language / region

You will be able to set the the default values ​​for the meta tags "description" and "keywords" in each language and region. As these tags are important for your rankings, they will be from your homepage. If a page tags must have the same tags as the homepage, then the tags can remain empty.

Visitor language mapping

You can specify what the appropriate language or region is for your visitors, you can either:

• Have a fixed language for all visitors.
• Redirect a domain name to a specific language / region.
• Select a language based on the language of the visitors browser, with a language fallback.
• Geo-IP mapping to language. Negeso W/CMS uses the ISO country codes. You can set the language used by region.
  

Language Independent URL routing to the appropriate language

You will be able to automatically redirect a language-independent URL to the appropriate language setting. One example within this Negeso website is http://www.negeso.com/negeso_modules.html. The Negeso website automatically detects your language and will display the correct language. Of course you can also directly refer to languages ​​such as http://www.negeso.com/negeso_modules_en.html. This URL is also an alias of the page that you can go to via our menu. We have created an alias because the Negeso website works with language-specific URL's.

Website translation module

The Website Translation Module, which comes as a standard feature in our Standard Edition allows you to translate either an entire website or parts of it to any language that you wish. You can also translate news and URL links, and you will also be able to take notes.

Non-translatable words

You will be able to specify which words you don't want to be translated. For example, our product SiteMentrix would be translated to Site Tutor. However, since we have put SiteMentrix on the non-translatable word list, it now doesn't get translated to any language.

Global variables

If you record a word in the global variables list, then you will be able to refer to this text in your list. The advantage of this is that you will be able to change all entries of that word all at once. You can use this feature in many ways, for example with the use of brand names or prices.

Twitter Facebook And language-specific link

Linking the social media module with Twitter or Facebook is language specific, you will be able to choose a different Facebook or Twitter account for each language if you prefer. For example, Negeso has a Dutch Twitter account "Negeso NL" as well as an English Twitter account "Negeso EN".

Multi-Language Dead Link Checker

The Dead Link Checker module provides an overview of all links pointing to: 1) external links 2) internal broken links 3) links to another languages.

Spelling and Grammar Module

The Grammar and Spelling Correction Control Module will get our native translators to check your webpages for spelling and grammatical errors. This will be done on a fixed price per page.

Localization

You will be able to set the language for each text that is generated by the CMS. For example, in Negeso.com this would be: Customer Portal or Choose your language.

Alphabets

You can write text on your website in the alphabet of the language.
